- Prof. Josef Bischofberger (DBM, University of Basel) has taken over the task of chairman of the steering Committee of Neuroscience Network Basel (NNB). He succeeds to Prof Nicole Schaeren-Wiemers (DBM, University of Basel) named new Vice President for People & Culture in August 2021. Prof. Bischofberger is also a member of the Neurex scientific Board.

Prof. Dr. Silvia Arber (Biozentrum & Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, Basel) will be awarded the prestigious Brain Prize 2022. With this award, the Lundbeck Foundation honors three laureates for their groundbreaking research on the neuronal networks that control movement. Prof. Silvia Arber receives the Brain Prize together with Prof. Ole Kiehn from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and Prof. Martyn Goulding from the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, USA.
